GAZ Gallery opened its doors on June 18, 2021, in Les Sables d’Olonne with an exhibition by local painter Olivier Cazenove inaugurating the walls of this new contemporary art space. The former appliance store has been transformed into a spacious 100-square-meter gallery on the ground floor, and an arty coworking space upstairs (artworks by gallery artists are on permanent display). It is located opposite the former Gaz de France site, currently awaiting redevelopment.

Gallerist Antoine Martineau, trained in art and photography by Jean Luc Monterosso, explores contemporary creation with curiosity and energy. His approach is eclectic and multifaceted, with a particular affinity for painting and figuration. After three years of enthusiastic encounters and exploration, he now regularly presents around fifteen artists through solo and group exhibitions. A gallery is a place for discovering contemporary art, whether for the curious or the seasoned viewer. Committed to supporting and promoting artistic production, it plays an essential role in sustaining the art world and the livelihood of artists.

GAZ Gallery continues its mission with passion and a welcoming spirit, in a bright space that lends itself to original exhibitions, intimate events, and partnerships rooted in artistic creation.
