Kesadi

Behind the name Kesadi already lie stories, journeys, encounters—and the singular way the artist brings them to life. From street art to illustration, what he shows us of the world is critical, often laced with irony. His scenes are saturated with objects, characters, and patterns, inviting subtle and layered observation. Drawn in by candy-colored tones that first surprise with their softness, the viewer’s eye quickly gets lost in a vibrant accumulation of details, bold black lines, and tiny graphic punctuations that electrify the surface.

Oil drums, trash, animal corpses, abandoned mines… Humor is definitely present, but it doesn’t hide the pollution, overconsumption, and waste. And yet, amid the empty containers, car wrecks, rotting food, and smiling animal cadavers, a flower often emerges—a fresh bouquet offering quiet poetry, “just like that.” The poetic energy flowing from Kesadi’s work amplifies its ecological and political message, while at the same time re-enchanting a world that is not yet entirely lost.

Each story Kesadi tells speaks of a world gone mad—with subtle irony and an underlying tenderness. The accumulation of visual elements multiplies perspectives, clues, and entry points, allowing each viewer to approach the narrative in their own way.

Kesadi’s walls are made to be read in the heart of cities—inseparable from the people who pass by and through them. More ethereal in structure, his murals resemble silent, oversized comic strips, unfolding narratives that connect with the landscapes and cultures they encounter. Structured through bold shifts in scale and finely tuned palettes, they establish both mood and unity within the storytelling.

It is through this immediate, visual connection to the world—its excesses as much as its abundance—that Kesadi’s rich, layered practice of urban and “domestic” painting captivates the viewer.
